how often do you go to church?

or maybe i should ask how often one should go to church?

today i was feeling a little down due to stuff going on in my life and i skipped church service. i sort of felt bad and then i remembered going through this a while ago and thought maybe i should write it down so that i will never forget to encourage me and for you guys as well.

Anyways i always love the line that my pastor always says.. its goes along the lines of : your not coming to church as a duty, or a ritual or its what your parents did or you have been doing for years; you come to church to give Glory to the Creator... should be viewed as a "privilege". How awesome is that? have you ever seen chruch as a privilege? Like YOU get to come to church. See its all about the mindset i believe. We see things the way we want to see and if you can change your perspective, life becomes so much more awesome.

Hebrews: 10:21-25
let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

He knew that people would sometimes give up on meeting together, and he wanted us to stay encouraged and you want to have christian friends who will encourage you and keep you going.

Also you should remember, we dont have to go to church to worship him. He died on the cross for us to directly access God anytime any day. All we need to do is just pray and read his word and get direct access to the Lord.

Also so is there a need for church if we can access God at home? or anywhere else. Dont look down on the power of the church. A good church can help uplift us in more ways than one. I always remember this one promise in the bible

For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them Mathew 18:20
cool right? You know God is guaranteed to be there when 2 or more say his name or pray together. Which is awesome and a self note to go to church more often.

Hope i encouraged you today and hopefully i stick to my own blogs and ask forgiveness for my setbacks and keep looking forward.

God bless.

Galatians part 1

Galatians 4: 1-7
What I am saying is that as long as an heir is underage, he is no different from a slave, although he owns the whole estate. The heir is subject to guardians and trustees until the time set by his father. So also, when we were underage, we were in slavery under the elemental spiritual forces of the world. But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship. Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father.” So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.

how cool is that?  i think often times we feel down about ourselves, feel unworthy, but we got to remember that God loves us and we are his children. Like he really views us as his children and we got to like talk to him like our father and which parent does not like his children to speak to them. We got to know deep down we are Gods children and that God has send his spirit within our hearts and that we are no uphold high standards.

God loves you and i love you and stay strong people :)

Being Thankful

I have gotten into troubled situations before, circumstances i hate falling into and i look up sometimes and ask God why?

Troubles face every corner of our lives, does being christian mean that you should have no troubles? No. But maybe fewer troubles or atleast knowing the fact we can hold our fathers hand as we go through our troubles and that he will always take care of us.

As many of you people who do go to church we usually always hear the same message as i stated above but its hard to follow it when we fall into troubled times. But i think its all about the mindset or how you view the situation. Praising Jesus no matter what the good times and the bad times. Think positive and move forward. Its hard i know but we have to constantly/actively forcing youselves to become more like Christ, change our mindset and see the bigger picture and believe that Jesus is in control.

There are so many things to be thankful about can you name atleast 20? lol.. have u taken the time out and thanked God for the most basic stuff? like for example here is my quick 10 things i am thankful for......

1. being born in a christian family
2. Amazing loving parents
3. loving sister
4. Good friends
5. Access to basic necessities - food/roof/ internet(lol)
6. Great church
7. Jesus for loving someone like me
8. Dying on the cross for me
9. Always watching over me
10. Good health

These stuff look basic but u might say are u really thankful for that? look at the people starving in the world, people with no homes, broken families - i mean we are really lucky and take things for granted.

Espcially my number 1, have u really thought about it? "Being born in a christian family" i think i am so lucky in that regard. Its hard for people to change religions when you grow up your whole life believing one... but being lucky to have access to the true God from day 1? Its something not to take lightly. If i hadnt been born in a christian family what are the chances i would even look to christianity? Not 0% but it would be pretty slim to be honest.

I think you should make your list of top 10 or top 20 and sit down and praise God today actually infact right now.  I am going to kneel down and praise God after i post this blog. I think you should to.

I am going through a hard time myself on a few issues and i think all the more reason to take time off and thank God for his blessings so far in life and in the things yet to come :)

Bless you guys.

Walk with God

So i have reached a phase in life where i am starting to visibly notice that i have far to go in my walk with christ and that i keep deviating from his path. I have been hanging around church a lot lately and involving a lot of church people into my close circle of friends and i am starting to notice things i can improve on and SHOULD improve on.

So basically i dedicating this blog as a way to keep myself in check everyday for the next 365 days(hopefully longer lol). I will try to read the bible daily, make sure i pray daily and always update the blog on what i read or any inspirations that i have gotten. Also i want to tackle areas that most christian teens to young adults face.

So why call this blog "christian Nation"?. I had a revelation from God about 2 weeks ago.. and maybe one day in the future i will tell you guys about it :)

God bless you all
stay strong brothers and sisters in this world of temptations.
